Mohs Society Europe - Society for promotion of Mohs Surgery and outpatient dermatosurgery is a non-profit organization that acts as a European platform to promote Mohs Surgery and dermatosurgery in the outpatient medical office setting throughout Austria, Europe and internationally.
On the one hand, Mohs Society Europe aims to spread a standardized Mohs Surgery by outlining the Mohs term and the correct implementation of surgical and histological techniques within the Mohs process. Fundamental hereby is the preservation of Mohs Surgery in Europe in its original form, as defined in the USA and practiced in English-speaking countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The clear distinction of Mohs surgery from other micrographically controlled procedures, as they are often used in Europe, shall be outlined.
On the other hand, influence shall be taken on the public health system, social security system and politics to enable citizens broad access to Mohs Surgery in the outpatient medical office setting.
