Welcome to Mohs Society Europe

Mohs Society Europe - Society for promotion of Mohs Surgery and outpatient dermatosurgery is a non-profit organization that acts as a European platform to promote Mohs Surgery and dermatosurgery in the outpatient medical office setting throughout Austria, Europe and internationally.

On the one hand, Mohs Society Europe aims to spread a standardized Mohs Surgery by outlining the Mohs term and the correct implementation of surgical and histological techniques within the Mohs process. Fundamental hereby is the preservation of Mohs Surgery in Europe in its original form, as defined in the USA and practiced in English-speaking countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The clear distinction of Mohs surgery from other micrographically controlled procedures, as they are often used in Europe, shall be outlined.

On the other hand, influence shall be taken on the public health system, social security system and politics to enable citizens broad access to Mohs Surgery in the outpatient medical office setting.

Planned activities of Mohs Society Europe comprise:

Establishment and implementation of the Mohs process
Promoting of patient interests through distribution and establishment of the Mohs process in an outpatient medical office setting
Selection and provision of qualified suppliers for Mohs Surgery and outpatient dermatosurgery
Publication of popular scientific, medical and scientific texts and articles
Contacting and discussion with representatives of the health system, social security system and politics
Continuing education, training and lectures
Implementation of interdisciplinary research projects and knowledge transfer
Certification of the Mohs Surgery and the Mohs Process in Europe and internationally

In order to implement the goals and activities of Mohs Society Europe we depend on the participation of interested people, members and cooperation partners.

The following memberships do exist:

Regular members: Active participation for the implementation of the goals and activities of Mohs Society Europe
Members with usage-only status: Use of services and resources of Mohs Society Europe
Supporting members: Support of the goals and activities through sponsor ships
Honorary members: Persons who distinguish themselves by their long-time commitment as Mohs Surgeons and for the preservation of Mohs Surgery and its further development. They support Mohs Society Europe in an advisory way.
